Touchstone, 80
Jo Ann DeBoard Touchstone will celebrate her 80th birthday Wednesday.
She was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Covington to Paul and Sadie Weber DeBoard.
She attended Covington schools from the first grade until 1944, when she moved to Norman her sophomore year. She returned to Covington her senior year. She worked one year for Wards Drug Store and then attended Enid Business College, earning her business administration and general accounting degree. She worked three years for Messer and Bowers Insurance Co. before going to work for Red Cross at Vance Air Force Base. She later was promoted to the professional staff as a field office assistant, covering McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kan. She also was the assistant field director at Hutchinson Naval Base. She worked for Red Cross for more than four years.
She married Jack Touchstone Dec. 22, 1956, in Enid where they made their home. They went to Iran and worked from 1977-78 at the Air Force base there. He died Feb. 22, 2002.
Her children are James and Nancy Touchstone, San Mateo, Calif.; Robert and Mary Touchstone, Norman; and Stephan and Marla Touchstone, Abilene, Texas. She has seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rainey, 95

She was born Sept. 22, 1913, on the family farm in Kingfisher County. She grew up in Blaine County and attended Liberty country school. She later attended nursing school in Weather-ford. In the early 1930s, she lived and worked in Enid at a hospital on South Independence, where she met her husband, Max Harvey Rainey. They were married May 17, 1940, in Wichita, Kan. They lived most of their married life in Los Angeles. He died in 1971. She has been a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years.
Her children are Max H. and Sharon Rainey Jr., Mountain Home, Ark., and William Joe and Rene Rainey, Laguna Woods, Calif.
Williams, 80
Charles “Charlie” Williams will celebrate his 80th Birthday with a come-and-go reception for family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the RSVP Santa Fe Railroad Station, 202 West Walnut. Cards may be sent to 2810 S. Taylor, Enid, OK 73703.
He was born in Enid Sept. 10, 1928, to Hubert and Josephine Williams.
He worked at Max and Rex’s Café for more than 16 years and later retired from Union Equity Cooperative Exchange after 32 years. He also trimmed and shoed horses for many years. He spent much of his time working with the horse programs at local and county fairs in Garfield and Grant counties.
He married Lois Watkins May 15, 1948.
Their children are Chuck and Connie Williams, Lahoma; Nadine and Dewayne Lingenfelter, Enid; Terry Don and LuAnn Williams, Crescent; and Bryan and Marla Williams, Laramie, Wyo. They have 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
