Meadow Point Apartments hosts meal



Meadows Point Apartments, 1225 S. Cleveland, will host its annual all-you-can-eat ham and beans supper and bake sale at 5 p.m. March 14.

Cost is $3.50 per plate. Proceeds will be used for the residents’ council.



Bus trip planned for April 3



Lifelong Learning will host a bus trip to Marland Manson, Marlands Grand Home, Standing Bear Museum and the New Conoco Museum in Ponca City April 3. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return around 6 p.m.

Class instructor Glen McIntyre, of the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, also will make the trip.

The trip will include lunch at the mansion, catered by Head Country, and all admission fees for $45.

Awards given to member of Enid Speakers of the Plains



Dewain Huffmaster, a member of Enid Speakers of the Plains, Toastmasters Club, has achieved a Competent Leader award.

The requirements for the CL award in-clude completing 10 projects in the Compe-tent Leadership manual featuring such areas as listening and time management to meetings and learn team building.

Darlene Schulz, a member of Enid speakers of the Plains, Toastmasters Club, has achieved an Advanced Leader Bronze award.

The requirements for the award include completing the Competent Leadership manual, which covers 10 skills in areas of communication, serving six months as a club officer and conducting leadership series.

After receiving the ALB award, members can progress toward Advanced Leader Silver and Distinguished Toastmaster designations.

Toastmasters International helps members gain experience in communication and leadership. For information, Toastmasters meetings are 7 p.m. Thursdays at 521 N. Grand, or call Huffmaster, vice president of public relations at 603-0202.



Square Cedar Cemetery meeting slated Tuesday



Square Cedar Cemetery will have its annual meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cleo Springs camp house.
