Mr. and Mrs. Rex Simpson, of McPherson, Kan., will celebrate their 60th anniversary July 19.
Rex and Virginia Simpson were married at home plate on the baseball diamond where he was pitching professional baseball.
He, who is from Helena, served as an Army sergeant during World War II. He retired from McPherson NCRA oil refinery, where he was leaderman in his department. She is owner and operator of Ginger’s Beauty Shop, McPherson.
They belong to Turkey Creek Golf Course and Kansas Trap Shooter.
