Cox-60th

James and Janet Cox will celebrate their 60th anniversary Tuesday, July 31, 2012. They recently enjoyed a gathering with their entire family including children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

They were married in Clayton, N.M., and have lived in Enid since 1965.

James practiced law with the Mitchell Law Firm for 16 years and has been in private practice since that time.

Janet has volunteered in the community in numerous ways over the years.

James and Janet are active members of Central Christian Church. They enjoy playing golf and are avid supporters of the University of Oklahoma.  Attending local sporting events is a favorite hobby including football, basketball and baseball.  

They have three children, Jamie Smith and husband Joe of Tulsa, Okla.; Jerri Whetstone and husband Byron of Overland Park, Kan., and Jay Cox and wife Stephanie of Columbus, Ga. They have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
