Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Epps will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception for family and friends 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Oakwood Christian Church Activity Center. Cards may be sent to 111 Kimbra Dr., Enid, OK 73703.
Gordon Epps and Elaine Stuber were married Sept. 8, 1962, at Hope United Church of Christ in Cosby, Mo.
He pastored for 39 years, serving at Friedens United Church of Christ in Bern, Kan., and Puritan Congregational Christian Church of Christ, Drummond, for more than 20 years, retiring in 2005.
Since retirement, he has served as interim pastor at Kiowa, Kan., Eudora, Kan., and currently Carrier. While at Drummond, he also served as Conference Associate with the Oklahoma Association of the United Church of Christ.
Elaine worked 30 years with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2005. She is a member of the Melody Girls singing group.
They both are members of Circuit Riders Motorcycle Club, recently returning from a motorcycle trip to Ontario, Canada.
Their children are David and Molly Epps, Enid; Nataile Lemley and husband Junior, Drummond; and Nora Enos and husband Bill, Ochelata. They have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
