ENID, Okla. —
Mr. and Mrs. George Hohnbaum celebrated their 60th anniversary with family at Saddlecreek Cafe in Sherwood, Ark., a suburb of Little Rock.
George Hohnbaum and Marjorie Kirkhart were married Jan. 24, 1953, in the Chapel of The College of Puget Sound in Olympia, Wash.
George served as a United Methodist minister in western Oklahoma from the 1950s until the 1970s.
A native of Enid, Marj was “Miss Margy” on the Romper Room children’s television series in the 1950s.
The Hohnbaums, formerly of Enid, have lived in the Little Rock area for some 40 years.
Marj is the past president of the Arkansas Realtors Association and past chairman of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission.
Now retired, they have been active in their community and are members of First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock.
Their children are Mark Hohnbaum, David Hohnbaum and wife Dixie, Paul Hohnbaum, Sherah Warnock-Fulton, Prisca Hohnbaum Selhorst and guest Sheldon Venable. They have 10 grandchildren.
