Mr. and Mrs. Paul James Brooks will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family trip later this year. Cards may be sent to 1613 South Monroe, Enid, OK 73701.
Paul James Brooks and Patricia Ann Vaverka were married Feb. 23, 1963, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hennessey, Okla., by the Rev. J.P. Page.
Paul served in the United States Navy when the couple were first married. He was honorably discharged in 1965. He then worked as an electrician for various contractors, retiring from Farmland Nitrogen Plant in 2003.
Pat was a proud homemaker for many years before becoming a department manager at Walmart. She retired from Walmart in 1993.
They are members of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Their children are Paul Brooks Jr., Ponca City, and Phillip Brooks and wife Kristi, Enid. They have two grandchildren.
