ENID, Okla. — Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wichert will celebrate their 65th anniversary with family. Cards may be sent to 1702 E. Ash, Enid, OK 73701.

Alvin Wichert and Maxine Teske were married Jan. 23, 1948, at Enid Bible Church. Attending the couple were Opal Teske and Alan Nickel.

Alvin served during World War II. He then worked 36 years for Champlin Refinery, retiring in 1984, when it closed.

He plays the violin and sings in the choir at Bible Baptist Church.

Their children are the Rev. Jerry Wichert and wife Jerilyn, Hamburg, Mich., and Janice Peterson and husband Alan, Enid. They have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
