Campbell-70th

ENID, Okla. — Mr. and Mrs. Kendall E. Campbell will celebrate their 70th anniversary with a weekend vacation. Cards may be sent to The Commons, 3519 Wesley Lane, Enid, OK 73703.

Kendall E. Campbell and Mary Phillis Young were married Sept. 21, 1942, at the home of her parents, northwest of Hunter.

Kendall served with the 45th Division in 1942.

Following his discharge in 1944, he worked as a bookkeeper for Garfield County Commissioners for three years.

In 1947, they moved to a farm northwest of Hunter, and in 1961, built a home in Hunter. In 1955, he was appointed Postmaster and retired in 1979.

Phillis was a graduate of Enid Business College and is a homemaker.

They are members of First United Methodist Church.

Their children are Jerry and Carolyn Campbell of Lenexa, Kan.; Ann and Jerry Pope of Woodward; Sue and Dan Buhler of Pratt, Kan.; and Cindy and Gayland Irwin of Borger, Texas. They have nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
