ENID, Okla. —
Tyson Eckroat has been elected president of Oklahoma Seed Trade Association at the 90th annual meeting held.
Eckroat began working full-time at Eckroat Seed Co. while attending OSU-OKC and has been there for 20 years. His great-grandfather founded the company in 1927, making Eckroat the fourth generation.
He is general manager for Eckroat Seed Co. and oversees day-to-day operations. He has served on Oklahoma Seed Trade Association Board since 2009.
Also elected as officers were: Patrick Herriman, first vice president, Sunburst/Holman Seed Co., Muskogee; Tom Ross, second vice chairman, Ross Seed Co., El Reno; and Joe Neal Hampton, Enid, executive vice president.
Members of the board are: Robert DeWitt, DeWitt Seed Co., Norman; Mark Hodges, Oklahoma Genetics Inc., Oklahoma City; Ed Schovanec, Johnson Seed Co., Enid; and Dan Sisson, Sisson Seed, Anadarko.
Advisory directors are Rogers Osburn, Oklahoma Crops Improvement Association, Stillwater, and Wade Krivanek, Oklahoma Department of Ag, Food & Forestry, Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma Seed Trade Association office is located in Enid.
