On Oct. 24-27, four Wayonka FFA members attended the 85th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
Attending were Jillian Whipple, Kaylee Tyson, Hannah Darr and Layne Meriwether. The theme for national convention was “Grow.”
From the entire nation, four FFA members were chosen to compete for a national title in the proficiency area of beef production entrepreneurship. Oklahoma was represented by Meriwether, who placed second in the nation.

He shared his inspirational life story of overcoming many obstacles and having a positive attitude.
They also attended workshops and listened to other speakers, gaining knowledge and new ideas.
