ENID — Chase McGolden is Fairview FFA treasurer.
He has been in FFA for the past two years.
His main FFA activities are showing sheep and participating in career development events. He has had the reserve grand champion market lamb at the Tulsa State Fair in 2007 and 2009. He also had the champion natural lamb at Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE) two years.
He was the champion sheep showman and the reserve grand champion master showman at the 2009 OYE. He also had the reserve grand lamb at the Northwest District Junior Livestock Show and the champion cross at the Kansas City American Royal Livestock Show. His main CDE is entomology.
Besides FFA he is involved in many other activities. He plays football, basketball and baseball. He is Fellowship of Christian Athletes treasurer and is a member of student council.
“I joined FFA to meet new people and to expand my comfort zone through public speaking and CDEs,” he said.
McGolden said FFA has taught him responsibility, to have a good work ethic and leadership skills.
He is the son of Jackie and Vince McGolden.
