Several Chisholm FFA members competed at the Tulsa State Fair last week.
Competing were Rachel Mock, Jamie Baumgardner, Katie Voss, Zach Sales, Cheyann Sales, Marissa Basehart, Saige Bartel, Jennifer Martin, Hayden Bean, Austin Voss, Josh Miller, Lawson Broadbent, Matt Jantz and Parker Thompson.
Results were: Baum-gardner, reserve champion York barrow, second-place York gilt and second-place cross gilt; Katie Voss, second-place Hampshire gilt; Cheyann Sales, eighth-place gilt; Miller ninth-place gilt; and Morgan Broadbent, ninth-place gilt.
In the open division, Mock had the 10th-place doe, 12th-place 3- to 6-month buck and 15th-place doe.
Baumgardner’s barrow qualified for the premium sale and brought $2,250.
Chapter members competed in the state qualifying opening ceremonies event at Lahoma.
The team consisting of Morgan Broadbent, Saige Bartel, Josh Miller, Austin Voss, Curtis Wilson and Marissa Basehart. The team placed first and will represent the area in the state contest Nov. 2 in Stillwater.
Zach Sales, Austin Gigoux, Chase Stalker, Logan Ritchie, Grant DeWitt and Jarret Webb also competed.
Grant DeWitt won the area Greenhand quiz contest and will represent the chapter at the state contest in November.
