Garfield County Conservation District has announced funds are available for cost-share assistance on selected conservation practices benefiting soil and water conservation.
The state has provided $18,000 to the district to help landowners implement measures that protect water resources. Ponds for livestock water are included in the conservation practices eligible for cost-share assistance. Cost-share reimbursement will not exceed $2,000 to those accepted into the program. The district will accept applications through Oct. 8.
For information, call Garfield County Conservation District at 237-7880. The district office is located in the USDA Service Center at 1216 W. Willow, Suite D. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
