WAYNOKA — Paige Van Meter and Meagan Rhodes are officers with Fairview FFA.
Van Meter is Fairview FFA sentinel and Rhodes is reporter.
Van Meter has been in FFA for three years. Her main FFA activities are showing sheep and participating in career development events (CDE). She has shown sheep at the Tulsa State Fair, Oklahoma Youth Expo and American Royal. She has had the grand champion lamb at the Tulsa State Fair.
Her main CDE is agricultural communications. She was a member of the fifth-place national agricultural communications team. She also was a gold emblem individual in the national agricultural communications CDE. She was the third-high individual and a member of the second-place team at the 2009 state agricultural communications CDE.
She has attended Made for Excellence Leadership Conference, Advanced Leadership Development, FFA Alumni Camp and Washington Leadership Conference. She plays fast-pitch softball and basketball. She is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is the daughter of Mark and Tammy Van Meter.
Rhodes has been in FFA for two years. Her main FFA activities are showing goats and participating in CDEs. Some of her accomplishments include showing the reserve grand champion wether goat at the 2008 Tulsa State Fair and the grand champion wether goat at the 2009 Northwest District Junior Livestock Show.
Her CDE is agricultural communications. She was a member of the fifth-place team and a gold emblem individual at the national agricultural communications CDE. She was a member of the second-place team at the 2009 state agricultural communications CDE.
She has attended Made for Excellence Conference, FFA Alumni Camp, State FFA Convention and National FFA Convention. She is a member of FCCLA, 4-H, Student Council and National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Jim and Joy Rhodes.
